Junior Web and Graphic Designer
We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Web Designer and Graphic Designer to join our creative team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for web design, graphic design, and a strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles. They will assist in the creation and maintenance of visually appealing websites and engaging graphic materials that align with our brand guidelines. This role requires a creative mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior designers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Assist in the design and development of user-friendly websites, ensuring responsive design principles are implemented.
- Create visually appealing graphics, illustrations, icons, and other visual elements for websites, social media, marketing materials, and other digital platforms.
- Optimize and modify existing designs to enhance user experience and usability.
- Conduct research and stay up to date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all design elements.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of design elements into websites and digital platforms.
- Support the creation and management of digital marketing campaigns by designing engaging visuals and assets.
- Ensure all designs meet quality standards, deadlines, and project requirements.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and marketing professionals.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong portfolio showcasing web design and graphic design work, demonstrating a solid understanding of design principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- Knowledge of web design tools and technologies, including HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices for web and mobile design.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and web development frameworks (WordPress, Drupal, etc.).
- Basic understanding of front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Excellent visual design and layout skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior designers and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present and articulate design ideas and concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
